Let’s be honest,  for a lot of us, mornings don’t start until that first hit of coffee. You know the drill: the zombie shuffle to the kitchen, the sacred pouring of the cup, and suddenly you can function again. But then there’s cup two… maybe cup three… and by the time the afternoon rolls around, you’re buzzing like a phone on silent.


Sound familiar? You’re not alone. Coffee culture is strong, but so is coffee dependence.


Why Coffee Hooks Us In


Coffee doesn’t just wake you up; it changes brain chemistry. Caffeine stimulates the release of dopamine and glutamate, neurotransmitters linked to reward and motivation. This isn’t me telling you to break up with coffee. I love a good coffee, and if you love it, keep enjoying it! But maybe, just maybe, you don’t need that third cup. Try swapping it for a green tea, an oolong, or hey, take a 20-minute power nap instead. Your body will thank you.


Because at the end of the day, energy shouldn’t feel like fighting a battle. It should feel like a steady rhythm, and tea? Tea knows how to keep the beat.
